MEMPHIS, Tennessee October 8, 2009 – Wisconsin-based Helgesen Construction Corp. in Janesville has received a national honor for the design and construction of the Outbound Logistics distribution facility in Janesville.

A brownfield is a property on which expansion, redevelopment, or reuse may be complicated by the presence, or perceived presence, of contamination. EPA’s Brownfields Program provides grants to fund environmental assessment, cleanup, and job training activities. Additionally, EPA seeks to strengthen the marketplace and encourages stakeholders to leverage the resources needed to clean up and redevelop brownfields.

Bottler making move by end of summer. A company with a long history in Beloit will move its operation to Janesville this summer.Pepsi Beverages has signed a 10-year lease for a 35,000-square-foot building on Conde Street owned by Helgesen Development. Owner Jeff Helgesen said he plans to add 10,000 square feet to the facility as part of nearly $1 million in building improvements. For years, Pepsi has operated a distribution center on Prairie Avenue in Beloit. It employs about 65 full-time workers who are expected to move to the Janesville facility.
