MEMPHIS, Tennessee October 8, 2009 – Wisconsin-based Helgesen Construction Corp. in Janesville has received a national honor for the design and construction of the Outbound Logistics distribution facility in Janesville.

 Varco Pruden Buildings, one of the nation's leading providers of metal building systems and a division of BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc., selected Helgesen Construction's 250,000-square-foot project for its 2009 VP Hall of Fame.

The award is presented annually to the independent Authorized VP Builders whose work reflects outstanding integration of building systems, products and design. More than 1,000 builders in the United States and Canada are part of the Varco Pruden network.

Helgesen Development, along with Helgesen Family Limited, and Helgesen Holdings, has been providing management, design and construction services since 1949. Helgesen has become the single source for those needing complete project handling.

In addition winning the Hall of Fame honor, the construction of Outbound Logistics also won special designation from the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. The facility was completed in May, 2008.
